Tried a 50/50 blend of this and Myron Mixon's Orchard Blend in a recent 14 hour slow smoke of a black angus brisket and tbh I was a tad concerned about "clinckers" before I started but I can say, great flavour (just need to work on my smoke ring), definitely go through less pellets compared to when I was using lumberjack pellets. Great authentic stick burner/offset smoky tasting brisket though.
Just trying to find out if Knotty Wood Plum or Almond gives me a better smoke ring and better bark.
Oh and to all those saying you get clinckers and "Knotty Wood BAD..." I got the grand total of NO clinckers at all during my pre cook burn or during my cook.
Defo. Buying more Knotty Wood now even though I have to get it shipped to Perth, IT'S WORTH IT 100%!!!
